Collaboration for building a future mobility platform

The JXTG Group has one of Japanese assets, including approximately 13,000 ENEOS service stations nationwide and a network of electric power businesses. Also Open Street is a start-up company that provides mobility sharing services such as electrically power assisted bicycles and scooters in 206 cities, wards, towns and villages nationwide.
Today, JXTG has made a capital participation in Open Street through JXTG Innovation Partners GK (President: Yazaki Yasunori), a wholly-owned investment subsidiary for promoting future businesses, which was recently established for this collaboration.
The JXTG Group is promoting the creation of businesses that are expected to grow in the future regarding “town development” and “mobility” in order to contribute to the “Decarbonized, recycling-oriented society” set forth in the “2040 JXTG Group Long-term Vision.”.
In this collaboration, we develop the mobility station developed by Open Street and develop a station that efficiently supplies environment-friendly energy such as solar power generation and storage batteries to shared mobility such as electrically power assisted bicycles and electric scooters by 2023.
Furthermore, with the cooperation of both companies, we aim to build a data platform that will lead to the creation of new services that utilize data related to mobility services, also with the goal of 2023.
We develop services that provide new value for the future MaaS (Mobility as a Service) era, and aim to build a mobility station that utilizes clean energy, “a Decarbonized, recycling-oriented society.”
